We’ve spoken quite a bit this year in class about understanding how other people live. Whether it is people who have lived in other times of history, or in other places on the globe, we have worked to understand their lives.
We’ve also spent time lately discussing the global AIDS epidemic that is raging in many parts of the world and especially in Africa. A blog called the Nata Village Blog is written by someone living in the village of Nata which is in the African nation of Botswana. It is interesting to see this issue from people who are actually living with it. Check out the blog here.
If you are interested in reading and getting posts form people who live in other parts of the world, you should read Global Voices, a central blog which collects feeds form blogs in many countries we often don’t hear that much about. It is an interesting read as well.
