 International Polar Year

Looking for a “cool” new blog to watch?

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is participating in the research that is happening for the International Polar Year. As part of this research they have started a blog, a YouTube channel and a flickr set. All of this is coming from Antarctica, where researchers are staying and learning about climate change.

    Heyy,

Wow it sure must be cold up there for them, but also a “cool” experience for them if they haven’t seen anything like that. How long will they be staying there for?

I’m not sure how long they are staying for but it is being called an international polar year, so I presume until the end of 2007. They are posting a lot of really interessting pictures on their flickr account almost each day. They are worth checking out as this is definitely a part of the world we dont get to see very often.
